PAFs Attend GW First Night!

PAFs at First Night

The current fellows were in attendance at GW First Night in its second year at the Mount Vernon Estate. PAFs spent the evening welcoming the Class of 2019 to the Estate and were present through the entirety of the program. The evening was full of lawn games, community meetings for the freshmen, food, and was capped off with a fireworks display over the Potomac, all made possible thanks to the generous support of alumni, parents, and friends of the university.

As the Class of 2019’s very first “Only at GW” experience, it was truly memorable for us as PAFs to play a role. While volunteering, it was also a chance to reconnect with members of the university community.  First Night is a huge event to host and execute - one which wouldn’t be possible without many volunteers from various GW offices. As PAFs we were able to work with many different people on various projects throughout the night - all culminating in a wonderful first night of college for GW’s newest community members.
