Apply to be a PAF

Applications for the Presidential Fellowship 2018-20 cohort were due Monday, October 23, 2017 and the selection process is now underway, continuing through late February 2018 when the new cohort is notified of their selection.

The application for the 2019-21 cohort is expected to be available by mid-September 2018.  In the meantime, review the following current minimum requirements to be considered for the Presidential Fellowship 2019-21 cohort, which are subject to change:

  • Undergraduate GW senior graduating in fall 2018 or spring 2019
  • In good academic and disciplinary standing with the university
  • Completed at least 55 credits in residence at GW by the end of the fall 2019 semester
  • A minimum 3.25 cumulative GW GPA by the end of the fall 2019 semester
  • Admitted into and starting in a GW master's degree program in fall 2019 before accepting the Presidential Fellowship opportunity

Students completing combined 5-year bachelor’s/master’s degree programs are eligible for the Presidential Fellowship program so long as they are willing to fulfill the two-year, full-time Presidential Fellowship program commitment by extending the scheduled completion of their master’s degree program and/or pursuing a graduate certificate in addition to their master’s degree.  However, Law (JD/LLM) and Medical School (MD) students are not eligible for the Presidential Fellowship program.
