Chris's Summer at GW!

September 15, 2014

This summer, I stayed in DC, working in my new placement and taking two courses. In my placement, I began helping the Division of Operations plan for the acquisition of the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design.

I also worked on two research projects this summer. For GW's Center for Real Estate and Urban Analysis (CREUA), I helped a professor uncover conflicts of interest in real estate transactions. I was able to participate in this project thanks to a PAF alumnus and GW employee, Joe Bondi, who connected me with the Director of CREUA, who then connected me with another professor. My research experience was an excellent learning and networking opportunity for me and a testament to the well-connectedness of PAF alumni in a wide variety of disciplines.

Outside of work and research, I spent the rest of my summer dancing with a hip hop dance company called Capital Funk!
