Presidential Fellow Pillars

The fellows are full-time graduate students, committed to excelling in their academic work. Each year, they establish shared academic goals as a cohort, support one another's learning, and exchange perspectives from their diverse fields of study.

Additionally, fellows serve the GW community through professional placements in university offices that align with their fields of study and career aspirations. These placements provide valuable, hands-on experience in leadership and administration, enabling fellows to drive meaningful change by actively participating in GW’s evolving institutional goals and supporting the launch of new offices, programs, and committees across the university.

Finally, Presidential Fellows have the opportunity to serve as GW student ambassadors by participating in unique events and initiatives with GW administrators and stakeholders. They strengthen GW’s network and community spirit by forming connections with students, faculty, administrators, and alumni. Moreover, they actively participate in community service, volunteering at GW events and collaborating with student organizations, which further enriches the campus community.
