As part of GW’s Alumni & Families Weekend, the Presidential Fellowship hosted its annual Alumni Reception, bringing together generations of fellows, former directors, and supporters of the program. The event was a tremendous success, offering a meaningful opportunity for alumni to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the continued growth of the fellowship community.

Fellowship Director Autumn Anthony opened the evening with welcoming remarks and introduced both the current fellows and members of the advising team, including long-time faculty advisor Dr. Kathryn Newcomer, whose steady guidance and dedication continue to shape the experience of the fellows. The fellowship was also honored to welcome Vice Provost for Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs, Dr. Suresh Subramaniam, who expressed sincere gratitude for the alumni’s ongoing engagement and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to supporting the fellowship’s mission.

Throughout the night, the room was filled with warm conversations and stories from the fellows’ shared experiences at GW. Alumni enjoyed meeting the current cohort, learning about their professional placements, and offering encouragement and advice. The reception concluded with a strong sense of enthusiasm and connection, reflecting the enduring spirit of the Presidential Fellowship community.
