This past weekend, the Office of Government and Community Relations hosted the FRIENDS 11th Annual Foggy Bottom/West End Neighborhood Block Party.
Through my placement with OGCR, I have participated in several FRIENDS events, and have come to embrace the importance of the organization’s slogan: More than Neighbors, Friends, as an important mentality for strong community ties.This year’s event was a great success, featuring vendors, student, staff and community member performances and information tables. I was especially grateful to spend the day with my colleagues and my fellow PAFs who volunteered to make the event a hit!
