All members of the PAFamily are invited to join Darrin Kayser, CCAS BA ’98, GSPM MA ’00 and a Lead Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton as he presents “I am Air Force Energy: Developing a culture of energy efficiency in the U.S. Air Force” as part of the GW Frontiers in Sustainability seminar series on Thursday, March 19 from 12pm to 1:30pm on GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus in the Geography Conference Room at Old Main (1922 F Street).
Energy is mission critical and a significant cost ($9 billion) for the U.S. Air Force. A broad behavior change campaign involving 97 bases around the world resulted in reaching more than 70,000 Airmen 68% of whom took significant actions to reduce their energy usage. The campaign is part of a broader effort in the Air Force that has reduced energy consumption by more than 20% and saved more than $2 billion in the last two years. Darrin will discuss the strategy and execution of the campaign and share results and insights.
