Presidential Fellows Markella Lanara, Grace Allread, and Jack Hatcher organized a Cherry Blossom walk along the Tidal Basin for the GWU graduate students. This community-building event aimed to introduce grad students to one of the most signature DC experiences! Students met at Kogan Plaza at 12 PM and at 6 PM, and together they walked across the Mall to the Tidal Basin. There, they enjoyed seeing the Cherry Blossoms, walking along the water, and taking a lot of pictures. The students were encouraged to wear white, pink, and red to match the scenery. A total of 60 students attended across both walks and reported having a lot of fun and being grateful for the opportunity to go to this amazing sight.
