Meet the 2016-2018 Cohort!

27th Cohort

We are excited to introduce the newest members of the PAFamily, the members of the 27th cohort! 

  Marisa Cordon

Marisa is from Guatemala and will complete her undergraduate degree with a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Public Health. In the fall she will begin her Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health. Beyond that, she wants to help reduce gender disparities and increase accessibility to health care facilities for vulnerable populations by working in the international development field. Over the past four years she has helped lead GW French Club, TEDxFoggy Bottom, and React to Film GW. As a PAF she looks forward to being inspired and motivated by the PAF Advising team, other Fellows, her graduate professors, and her work placement.

 

 

 

  Dor Hirsh Bar Gai

Dor is from Caesarea, Israel and will finish his undergraduate degree with a B.S. in Systems Engineering, B.A. in Philosophy, and minor in Sustainability. In the fall, he will begin his Master’s in Environmental and Energy Management with a certificate in Sustainable Urban Planning. After grad school, his objective is to help make cities more sustainable and work to alleviate social, environmental, and economic inequalities. For three years he served as a Resident Advisor, and as a PAF, he looks forward to getting to know the other fellows and their passions, as well as contributing to GW through his placement.

 

 

 

 

  Grace Mausser

Grace is from Houston, TX and will be graduating from her undergraduate degree program in May with majors in Economics and International Affairs. In the fall, she will begin her Master’s of Public Policy and hopes to work towards bridging the gap between economic thinking and policy implementation. As an undergraduate, she was involved in the International Affairs Society and Delta Phi Epsilon Professional Foreign Service Sorority. As a PAF, she looks forward to working as a team to help improve the GW and DC communities.

 

 

 

 

 

  Zunara Naeem

Zunara is from nearby Woodbridge, VA and will finish her B.A. in Human Services with a minor in Journalism. In the fall, she will begin her Master’s in Public Administration with a certificate in High-Performance Computing. She aims to improve education policy and advocacy for marginalized and vulnerable populations, including those who've experienced homelessness and/or income instability. As an undergraduate she was involved with Jumpstart, Class Council, the GW Hatchet, and Alternative Breaks. As a PAF she looks forward to growing and serving.

 

 

 

 

Alex Wang is from Taipei, Taiwan and will finish his undergraduate degree this spring, double majoring in International Affairs and Economics. In the fall, he will begin his Master’s in Applied Economics. He is committed to inspiring university students to be curious and compassionate about the complexities and challenges of the world. Alex has been involved with GW TRAiLS, GW Club Cross Country, and the GW Wooden Teeth Literary Magazine. He looks forward to working with administrative staff and faculty around campus to learn about university affairs, and at the same time “still knocking on my favorite professor’s door to talk about my latest ideas and findings.”
