The next professional development seminar in our Alumni Insights series was with longtime supporter of the Presidential Fellowship program, Sara Melita. Sarah brings more than 25 years of experience as a consultant, executive coach, facilitator, and trainer supporting leaders and teams. She specializes in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and process improvement. She used her experience to help GW Graduate students sharpen their communication skills. She touched on the topics of:
- conflict resolution,
- managing difficult conversations,
- persuading others,
- negotiating, and
- storytelling
The approximately 30 students who joined the webinar were engaged and enthusiastic, reflecting their desire to learn more about communication and hone their skills.
