Presidential Fellowship alumni continue to demonstrate their dedication to the program and the broader GW community by facilitating professional development seminars for current fellows and graduate students across the University.
The second seminar of Fall 2025 was led by Darrin Kayser (CCAS BA ’98, GSPM MA ’00), who spoke with the current Presidential Fellows about effective strategies for job interviewing and “managing up” with senior leaders. He also shared guidance on evaluating job opportunities and strengthening application materials. His insights offered fellows valuable tools for navigating their career paths as they prepare to transition out of the program.

Darrin is a communications executive with more than 30 years of experience leading communications and marketing initiatives for public- and private-sector organizations in energy, technology, and sustainability. He currently serves as an Executive Vice President at Edelman and previously worked at Booz Allen Hamilton as a Lead Associate in Energy Communications. Across these roles, he has gained extensive experience interviewing candidates, making him an exceptional resource for students preparing for job searches and interviews.
