Eleanor Roosevelt had the following leadership advice: “To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart.” The 2014-2016 cohort did both! The graduating PAF Cohort has left an incredible mark in their placements, the greater GW community, the PAF program, and on the other PAFellows. Thus, we could not let them leave without recognizing their accomplishments with some special awards, which were presented to each fellow during their last weekly meeting.
In recognition of eating a ton of vegetables and being most likely to make anyone smile, The George Washing-a-ton of Vegetables Award was presented to Kelly Bartz.
For being most likely to be balancing a million and one things at once and managing to always be lookin’ fly, the GW (Gucci Workhorse) Award was presented to Kelsey Johnston.
In recognition of her eloquence and insightful comments, The Hipp-Oh-No-You-Didn’t Award was presented to Khadija Lalani.
In recognition of having already done something that someone is thinking about doing, the Colonial Who Has Done Everything Award was presented to Chelsea Lenhart.
In recognition of countless hours of service to the program and the university, the Honey W. Nashman Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service Longest Presidential Administrative Fellowship Placement Name Award was presented to Ashlynn Profit.
In recognition of launching an “English for International Students” workshop at GW and still having time to fly around the world for interviews, The Mil-Can Do Anything Award, was presented to Yuxuan Shen.
Thank you to the 2014-2016 PAF Cohort for all of your mentorship and leadership. We will miss you!
