Incoming PAF Cohort

The PAF 2017 cohort has completed another milestone in their on-boarding journey: the selection of their  professional placements for the 2015-2016 academic year. The fellows have been welcomed into offices representing the wide reach and diversity within the GW administration, continuing the tradition of PAFs working on strategic initiatives critical to the success of the university. Each placement is as unique as the interests of each fellow. Marcus Andrews will be joining the Rodham Institute as the inaugural PAF in the office. Zinhle Essamuah will be working at the GW Global Women’s Institute (where her Preceptor will be Chelsea Ullman, CCAS BA ’12 MPP ’14, who also held that placement as a PAF!). Alec Nadeau will be at the Center for Cyber and Homeland Security. Angela Sako has already started her placement in the Office of the Vice President for Research. Maxwell Tingle will be joining the Office of Marketing and Creative Services. Katherine Paz Wynne will be at the Office of Cross Disciplinary Collaboration.

Three second-year fellows have also accepted new placements for the 2015-2016 academic year. Kelly Bartz began her new placement this summer in the Division of Student Affairs as a member of the Planning and Outreach team. Kelsey Johnston has accepted a placement at the George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum. Yuxuan Shen will begin her new placement with the Milken Institute School of Public Health in the fall.  Meanwhile, the remaining second-year fellows will continue in their same placements for the upcoming academic year: Khadija Lalani in the Office of the President, Chelsea Lenhart in the Office of Safety and Security, and Ashlynn Profit in the Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service.

The fellows are looking forward to joining their Preceptors and colleagues on Monday, August 17 and to beginning (or continuing) their professional experiences at GW.
