Presidential Fellows Help Celebrate Legacy of Lindsey Ferris

February 4, 2018

On Sunday January 14th, GW Athletics hosted the annual Lindsey Ferris Gymnastics Invitational and Reception, and the Presidential Fellowship program was there to celebrate the team and remember Lindsey. GW’s gymnastics team performed exceptionally well and won the overall invitational for the 6th year in a row, with many individual team members ranking in the top three positions of the different events.  The reception was a heartwarming reminder of Lindsey’s deep impact on GW, gymnastics, athletics and the Presidential Fellowship program, as recounted by many speakers in their remarks, including Lindsey’s parents, Keith and Pam, and Advising Team member Peter Konwerski.

While the current fellows did not have the privilege to know Lindsey, her legacy was clear and serves as a role model for commitment and excellence. Following the reception, we met and embraced Lindsey’s parents and got the opportunity to get to know them.

We are thankful for Lindsey’s parents and the GW communities that continue to spread her legacy.
