Current fellows Markella Lanara, Grace Allread, Nina Balandina, and Jack Hatcher hosted a Valentine's-themed event, offering GW Graduate Students the opportunity to enjoy a delicious chocolate assortment and craft their own love letter. This was the most attended event so far, with over 100 students making an appearance. The highlight of the event was seeing students fall into conversation with one another and make new friendships.
When we asked them to share their favorite part about the event, some of the comments that stood out were:
- "My table had really amazing people. I was laughing from start to finish."
- "Getting to know other students!"
- "Food and friends"
- "The free snacks and having a space to sit down/mingle!"
This was the sixth event in the fellows’ GW Graduate Experience and Research Network Initiative, the proposal that earned them $11,500 in funding earlier this year.
